What's on the map?

The main data currently uploaded onto the map are a set of about 700 records gathered by Rick Worrell in the 1990s.  These are shown as unverified, as they are mostly based on 6-figure grid references.  We hope users will be able to upgrade these data by confirming their correct location and adding information on the status of the stands.

Other data are being added from a variety of sources.  These include the following:

  • survey of Aspen in South Loch Ness (Boleskine Environmental Network)
  • survey based on aerial photography in Strathspey (Scottish Native Woods)
